Personal care is anything done for you that is of a personal nature. This may include personal hygiene such as bathing, showering and hair washing, as well as oral hygiene, dressing and continence management such as toileting, catheter/stoma care and bed changing. It may also involve assistance with eating and drinking. This type of care may be needed in a variety of settings and circumstances. For example, if you live in your own home, with family or with others, a disability support worker may come each morning to assist you in getting ready for the day.
SNL Supports acknowledges the Sunshine Coast Country, home of the Kabi Kabi peoples and the Jinibara peoples, the Traditional Custodians, whose lands and waters we all now share. We recognise that these have always been places of cultural, spiritual, social and economic significance.
