Positive Behaviour Plan Implementation

Positive Behaviour Plan Implementation

At SNL Support Services, we are committed to supporting participants with challenging behaviours through individualized PBSPs. We collaborate with a team of professionals, including:

  • Behavioural Support Practitioners
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Psychologists
  • Complex Support Specialists

This multidisciplinary approach ensures that each plan is tailored to the participant’s specific needs and designed to enhance their well-being.

The Role of Carers and Support Staff

The PBSP is not only for the participant but also provides guidance for everyone involved in their care, including family members, support carers, and other professionals. By working together, we can create a consistent and supportive environment that fosters positive behaviour and helps the participant thrive.

Restrictive Practices: A Last Resort

While restrictive practices may sometimes be necessary, they are only used as a last resort. At SNL Support Services, we are committed to minimizing the use of restrictive practices by:

  • Ensuring that they are the least restrictive option in any given situation.
  • Using them for the shortest time possible.
  • Reducing the risk of harm to the participant or others.

If restrictive practices are employed, we follow all regulatory reporting requirements to ensure transparency and accountability.

Working Together for Better Outcomes

The success of a Positive Behaviour Support Plan depends on collaboration between the participant, their family, support carers, and the professionals involved. Together, we can create a supportive environment that empowers participants to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
